The
Tasmanian Aero Club is one of the oldest aero clubs in Australia. The
Australian Aero Club (Tasmanian section) was incorporated on the 26th
of September 1927. Flying training began in 1930.
After more than 70 years of operation, we are still going strong.
Today
we are an aero club with over 100 members, both flying and social. Our
facilities are extensive for both members and flying students. In the
membership section, more information is provided on club facilities and
membership benefits.

Launceston's
location makes for an ideal training environment. Club operations are
within Class C airspace and Launceston is located centrally within the
state. This allows quick access to many different flying environments;
high altitude strips, rugged mountain flying, CTAF aerodromes, coastal
operations and more.
